   a. Police Dept. - The primary goal of the Police Department is protection of life and property, prevention of crime and apprehension of criminal perpetrators. The Department strives to provide the best possible police service to residents of Cabot and to those who work, travel, and shop here.
   b. Fire Dept. - Our mission is to provide an umbrella of security for our citizens by minimizing the loss of life and property resulting from fires, medical and environmental emergencies or other disasters.
4. Just and fair legal system - The mission of the Cabot District Court is to provide equal justice in the resolution of criminal prosecutions, traffic charges, civil claims and other court related services to the public, without regard to the race, nationality, religion, wealth or poverty of any litigant, witness or advocate who may appear in the court.
5. Chamber of Commerce- The Cabot Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization consisting of individuals and businesses who band together to advance the commercial, financial, industrial and civic interest of the Cabot community and surrounding areas. The Chamber will lead Cabot into the future by taking an active role in business recruitment and local economic development. The Chamber will direct a unified effort to promote Cabot.
6. Parks and Recreation- It is the continuing mission of the Cabot Parks and Recreation Commission to acquire, develop, and maintain exemplary parks and recreational facilities and facilitate programs that effectively contribute to the quality of life of ALL citizens.
7. Animal Control Services- The Cabot Animal Shelter cares for over 1,700 homeless animals every year, and thanks to the dedication of our staff, volunteers, and people like you we have one of the nicest facilities in Central Arkansas.
8. Golf Courses - The City of Cabot is blessed with some of the states finest golfing facilities: Rolling Hills Country Club and Greystone.
9. Local media coverage - Cabot has two great newspapers, The Star Herald and The Leader, which provide excellent up-to-date as well as archived information, classifieds, and real estate listings.

10. Little Rock Air Force Base - The largest C-130 base in the United States is only minutes away from the City of Cabot. The city hosting an excellent family environment, many who are in the service and posted there opt to live off base in Cabot.

Our Community

Cabot founded in 1873, is located 20 miles northeast of Arkansas’ capital city of Little Rock.  Due to its locale, outstanding school district and great business opportunities, it has become the third fastest growing city in Arkansas.  This fact was substantiated by the special 2006 U.S. census that showed the population of Cabot as 22,092.

We have citizens that work in Little Rock, North Little Rock, and the Little Rock Air Force Base that have chosen Cabot as their home because of the easy commute.

With more than 50 subdivisions, there is a neighborhood style that will suit just about everyone. Homebuilding is a major industry in Cabot. Homes and rental properties are available across the full spectrum of price and amenities.

Cabot is within a 50-mile radius of four major universities, as well as a number of smaller colleges, community colleges, and technical schools. Arkansas State University at Beebe is just 8 miles to the north, and offers both 2-year and 4-year degree programs, as well as technical and computer programs.
